I hate dogs

That was some sort of a troublesome wild goose chase I was just on. A little while ago, someone tipped me off that if I was looking for a notebook, it might be in the jaws of some wild dog roaming around this place. So there I was, trying to find this thing with no clues other than it was somewhere in the area. Lot more trouble than it was worth.

In any case, I finally found the thing, and there it was with a notebook it was ripping and slobbering all over, and I had to wrestle the disgusting wreck of a book out of its mouth (which wasn't easy, let me tell you). And then after all that, it turns out that wasn't the notebook I was looking for.

Let me just tell you, that dog isn't going to be stealing anyone else's notebook any time soon. Least I still have my gun, but that almost seemed like a waste of a bullet.
